Assembly features are features that exist only in assemblies. Instead of being added to components at the part level, they"re added to the assembly level. These can be extruded cuts, revolved cuts, hole wizard holes, or simple holes. Often used to helped represent post-assembly machining. Even if a cut is made in the assembly, the cut will not affect the original part. Feature scope lets you select which components are affected by assembly features. Feature scope options are located at the bottom of features such as cut extrude. For example can right-click on components and delete it from this selection space to have that component unaffected by the cut feature. Can also add or remove components by selecting them from the graphics area. Now the cut feature does not affect the top layer: So for example if another layer is added to the bottom, will not be cut.
