Age: there are two processes of ageing . Growth and development: growth and maturation from fetus through childhood, adolescence and up to early adulthood. Sex: sexual dimorphism is the difference between the sexes in morphological, physiological and behavioural features. It is determined through differences in size, function, and skeletal maturation. Growth, development & stress: archaeologists determine this through comparisons of long bone growth with dental development. They can identify possible disruptions in growth such as physiological stress, disease or malnutrition. There are also health issues they can identify like bacterial diseases and vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
