We are not naturally inclined towards good we have a tendency to stray from what is right. Systematic philosophies--that all changes are due to changes in motion. Mechanistic and materialistic--that we can reduce everything we know and experience as simply material bodies in motion. Naturally moved to protect and preserve ourselves self-preservation, we do not value others as much. Voluntary actions are an animal-like motion b/c they are not thought out and intellectual but they stem from will. Studies what we observe and experiment to find natural truths big on understanding human nature and its faults. We are all under the control of our appetites and our aversions.
