Improved decision making: an information systems ensures having the right information at the right time (using real-time data), which helps managers to make informed decisions. Informed decisions reduce the possibility of under/over production, misallocation of resources and poor response times: all of which helps reduce costs and maintain customers. Example: verizon corp, uses a web based digital dashboard to provide managers with real time information on customer or customer complaints, etc. This includes industry-level changes, where without is implementation, companies would not be able to operate in the industry.
