Sources of contemporary law: constitution, statues law, common law, court orders, administrative law, treaties. Classifications of law: criminal law, civil law, law and morality. Jurisprudence: legal positivism, law is what the sovereign says it is, natural law, law must have moral basis, legal realism, they care enforces that law and by what process it is enforced. Just an idea that can become a law. Real facts and meat of the case. This can get rid of bias one state might have against another. Judge made law, precedent can be used or even established. You do not need to assist unless you created the danger, have a relationship, employed the victim, stood in the way of someone trying to call the police. Statutory law (depends on the state you are in: bills - > proposed statue submitted to congress or state legislature, discrimination -> congress and the courts, debate -> conference committee.
