Social science: relying on scientific approach to figure out how societies work, using empirical approach. A person"s sense of self depend upon their social world and it approval : each individual is desperate for society to tell them what to do. Social science is not just about fact. Self identity, who we are, and what we think, are mostly dependent on where we live at . The individual must locate himself on the social map by plotting social coordinates. The social coordinate tells us roles, rules, and expectations individuals must carry, which allow them to be conformed and earn social approval.
