Unilateral neglect-the lack of attention to one side of space, usually as a result of parietal lobe damage. The neglected side is almost always the left. Some info from the neglected side may be getting through(not true for all patients) Hyperactivity-fidgeting, always being on the go , excessive talking. Many of these symptoms are linked to the anterior attention system. Sensory memory-a temporary memory store that holds incoming sensory information for very brief period of time. Whole report-recall is to slow, capacity is about 4 times. Partial report-developed to reduce the problem of rapid fading from sensory memory, capacity may be unlimited but the duration was severely limited.
