Protein structures and how they fold (primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary structures) Exon shuffling: point mutations, frame shift. Transcription factors: promoters, controls of gene expression. Exposure to dangerous conditions during first weeks of pregnancy can be bad. Being exposed to starvation can alter methyl groups binding. Our proteomes change over time - we dedicate more of our proteins to transcription factors when we"re a fetus, but less as we get older. Promoter: part of the gene where rna polymerase and transcription factors bind - starting point for transcription.
