Social psych: scientific study of how people influence our attributions, attitudes and actions: social thinking, social influence and social relations. Personality psychology: personality: characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving, gives coherence to o(cid:374)e"s life, reflects both nature and nurture. Id: the most primitive part of personality: fights for manifestation and satisfaction of unconscious psychic energy, driven by pleasure principle. Somatic: interacts with outside environments: sends signals from sense organs and skin to the cns, sends signals from cns to skeletal muscles to cause voluntary muscle contraction. Parietal lobe: specialized for touch and perception and contains somatosensory cortex, sensitive to pressure pain and temperature, communicates info to the motor cortex every time we reach, grasp or move our eyes.
