It is a response to a social problem
o Illegal immigration, poverty, violence, drug abuse, sex trafficking
These problems create opportunity to create thoughts of what to do
about these issues turns into social consciousness
Macro Level largest perspective
o People are looking at a social problem and asking who it is impacting and how
big the issue is
When the problem is identified on the macro level, there has been a
certain amount of focus & interest to realize that something needs to be
done about this problem.
Mezzo middle level
Micro groups, individuals, families, communities
