Document Summary

It"s a set of premises that leads to a conclusion. It cannot be true or false, it can only be valid or invalid. Premises and conclusions can be true or false. If all the premises are correct, then your conclusion should be correct. You have 1 observation, 2 hypotheses, more observations until you come to a conclusion. Ethics are true because of an outside force such as a god. Ethics are a thing because god declares them ethical. It"s not that whatever god does is ethical, it"s that god says it"s ethical. Either you believe in god or that everything god says is morally arbitrary or there are things that are ethical that do not come from god. Society constructs truths, there"s no truth that"s independent of itself, every truth relies on a society. We can test truths and they"re all ethical. Humans are tuned to do whatever is in their own self-interest.
