magnesium sulphate/12 hours
NaHCO3 2-3 meq/kg/d
KCL 1 meq /kg/d +500cc D5W IV q12hr
Premedicate
Zofran 8mg +2amp decadron +150cc D5w
over 1 hour before melphalan, then give every
8 hours regularly till 24 hours after melphalan
Conditioning Protocol:
To avoid mucositis from melphalan –ice
chips 5 min before , during & for 1 hour
after intake of melphalan
Melphalan 200mg/m2 IV(--------)day -2
( --/--/200-) + 100cc NS over 30minutes
