Know that: scientific theory- provable, true, communication is ruled by rules, not laws, cause-effect describe, explain, predict, control generalization, interpretive theory- discovering meaning, don"t like generalizations, can be constructed at an individual level, critical theory- create change. Message processing: hearing- you have to hear what the message is in order to process it.
