Public communication one person speaking to a large group of people (public speaking) Things to consider about our definition of communication: usefulness boundaries, intentionality purpose, accuracy does not always equal truthfulness. It is a mutual exchange: communication has both a content and a relationship dimension. It is much more than the words that we say: what does the content say about the relationship, what content is allowed in the relationship, communication is irreversible. Once something it said, it is out there and it is part of the relationship. We can try to explain and make amends, but once it happens, it changes the relationship: communication is unrepeatable. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
