Humans are the only animals that can tell the difference between the way things are and the way they should be (understanding) All cultures produce mythology, not just greeks and can be named as a stage (myth making stage) 1200 bc people of the ancient mediterranean world came up with logical explanation for events. Stories can tell the truth but it is possible for it to illustrate the truth as well. The function of a myth is to illustrate the truth and make sense of the human experience. Said they are all about nature and natural phenomenon.
