Plato ask the reader to try to gain insight from the prisoners point of view. Who cannot look back , whos head is only fixated on what is in front of him. This is a direct reflection of human mentality. Plato begins by responding to the remarks (unknown) makes of him . Implying that he is very good at deceiving the masses.
