Black men buy things on credit store keeps track and once there crops are ready they give the store what they owe, plantation owners bribe black share croppers to vote democratically, cotton prices are declining. Republicans lose power because of the tension between the different republicans, blacks have different values than the white republicans, republicans imposed taxes to fund public education and hospitals wehre the south had none 2. Democrats don"t believe they should be taxed, agree that the south should be ruled by white southerners 3. violence such as kkk terrorized black and white republicans, very successful in scaring the republicans 4.
