Document Summary

The wartegg zeichen test, also known as the wartegg drawing completion test, was introduced by ehrig wartegg. It is used as a way to evaluate personality and uses the gestalt. A standard size paper is separated into eight square on two separate rows and signs printed in each one. The person must complete the drawing using each part of the picture. This test shows how different personalities will perceive each of the signs. Studies on this test have reported results of three different reliability types. Internal consistency coefficients had an average of . 74, which is very adequate. The interscorer reliability coefficients averaged . 79, which is extremely good. This average came from fifteen results from twelve samples. Test-retest reliability was extremely low with an average of . 53 (very low). The reason for these extreme variations in the sample averages cannot be determined because of the lack of empirical evidence.
