Where someone experiences the trauma, emotional and physical responses occur. When they are exposed to things that remind them of the trauma, they will have flashbacks because of classical conditioning: diathesis- stress model , treatment: cognitive behavior therapy: prolonged exposure, cognitive reprocessing therapies. Ocd: obsessions are intrusive and non-sensical thoughts, images, or urges that one tries to resist or eliminate. These thoughts lead to an increase in anxiety and/or stress: compulsions are thoughts or actions that suppress the obsessions that provide relief, though only temporarily. Psychosurgery is used in extreme cases: cognitive behavioral therapies are the best treatment. The person is exposed to their obsession and they are prevented from engaging in the compulsion rituals. *preoccupation with health and or body appearance and functioning. There is no identifiable medical condition causing the physical complaints. There will be symptoms without any underlying medical illness: hypochondriasis, features, physical complaints without a clear cause.
