The single strand has the nucleotides labeled a-t-c-g. nucleotides are chemical building blocks. A nitrogenous base, a 5-carbon sugar, and one phosphate is in the nucleotide. From smallest to large it would go: species, domains, family, order, class, phylum, kingdom, domain.
