*csd 333 focuses on oral spoken language, not written language. Week 1-2: children can master any language regardless of location, economic status, etc. It"s all about how they form a sentence: kids learn grammar typically through exposure, before they even start school. It may be called something different in every language but each word is all referring to the same thing. Language is shared: language community: a group of people that share a common language or dialect, racial/ethnic background, geographic proximity.
