Biological theories of sex differences: evolution, brain research, endocrinology. Even in same sex relationships people still display gender stereotypes towards them: stereotypes tell us that homosexuality is a disorder . Historically assumed: that male homosexuality manifested by effeminacy and that female homosexuality is manifested by masculinity. Science attempts to prove stereotypes : homosexual men"s brains and hormones resemble women"s. Problems with the evidence : homosexual brains identified through death by aids. These brains preserved in higher densities of formaldehyde solution: warning with research finding differences: Can"t assume it was caused by genes. Search for gay gene: studies with twins reveal biological foundation for sexual orientationbut. Studies generated from self-identified homosexuals (not from a sample of twins) Could also be explained by treatment of brothers. Hormones and homosexuality: soy products contain large amounts of estrogen.
