In june and july of 1794, even more measures were taken "to seek enemies of the people". Tons of people got killed and imprisoned during this period. The terror ended in 1794 after military success and the imprisonment of many members of the committee of public safety. The first coalition the first coalition was established in an attempt to defeat the forces of the french following the french revolution of 1789.
