It is especially important that you familiarize yourself with the nomenclature and basic terminology of organic chemistry. You should be thoroughly familiar with the contents of chapters, 3 and 7. The last date for withdrawal from this class without a w is jan 19 and with a w is. February 17 the university will not generally allow withdrawal from the course after this date.
