Ideas: can be in, written form, verbal form, body language, spoken word, these are channels of communication. Systems theory & systems thinking groups & their components: system, collection of interacting, interdependent elements, working together as a complex whole. Initial development of a system requires inputs: this will support and allow a system to thrive, once inputs are established, processes and throughputs shape, group work. Interaction between group members: a system produces an output or product, demonstrates the strengths and weaknesses of that system or group. Influenced by symbols and rituals that occur outside the system: values affect groups. Inputs: elements a group needs to do its work effectively, diversity, quality materials, time, shared: Intellect: vision, mission, throughputs, processes, norms, behaviors, these are unique to each group, examples, communication, e-mail, texting, phone calls, etc. Systems theory & systems thinking groups & their components: outputs, outcomes of a group"s work, tangibles.
