War on crime- launched in 1967, president lyndon b. johnson, inspired by report from president"s commission on law enforcement and administration of justice, passed omnibus crime control and safe streets act of 1968, focused on violent crime. War on drugs- launched in 1971 by president nixon, created the drug. Enforcement agency, 1980"s arrest soared by 120%, hysteria about the use of crack cocaine . The new deal- one of the examples of grand social experiment, launched by president franklin d. roosevelt, set of economic and social policies to provide economic relief after great depression.
