The quality of the government, and the country itself also determines whether a location will successfully recover from natural disasters. There was a great recession in 2009 that had a big negative a ect to japan"s. The 2010" earthquake completely wiped out the economy in haiti. After the earthquake, which was -5% growth, haiti had 5% growth rate after 2010 for a little while. They had a post disaster stimulus and a slow decline because they were hit with many other problems after 2010.
