Being formless means you are constantly adapting to the environment around you. No defense to formlessness because you are more adaptive to the weaknesses that the enemy shows. Formlessness is unpredictable to the enemy because they can never fully predict what you will do. This makes you have less gaps or openings. Having form means that you are too rigid in the way you think. If you expect things to follow as plan, you will not be prepared if things do not go your way. Emptiness - less defenses, more gaps (/openings), which is more weakness. Attack when the opponent is empty or is not prepared. Just because the enemy is empty, does not guarantee victory.
