Paraphrasing making a summary of the ideas you have just received: provides you with a concise restatement of what has been presented, allows you to determine whether or not you understand the material. Linear learners/listeners people who are left hemisphere dominant (more logistical) may listen and learn best when materials are presented in structured ways.
