Dam: the dam created a reservoir so the sea level rose on that side of the dam and swallowed up cities, farms, and canyons, peoples homes were getting flooded. Reasons, why the river downstream of the three gorges dam will be more polluted- the water isn"t as powerful (flush action) so the pollution doesn"t get taken away. Why flooding of industrial sites will help to cause potential pollution of the region because of the three gorges dam- toxic industrial sites were drowned without adequate cleanup- river may be poisoned. The positive benefits of the three gorges dam- 1. (hydro)electricity, economic development, made a lot of money. What was lost because of the creation of the three gorges dam- priceless artifacts, farms, cities/towns, and archaeological things.
