Eugenics- science of improving genetic composition of a population. Functionalism: spencer: structure and function of social institutions as working together like body parts for common good. Genotype- darwin; genotype is an organism"s full hereditary info, even if not expressed- genetic make-up. Hard heredity- galton: heredity material is transferred unaltered from parent to offspring. Hybridization: darwin- possible to cross-fertilize with different species. But, emphasis is on the cost/burden of producing a particular type of child.
