Malnutrition, sensory deprivation, social isolation as well as trauma can all affect normal brain development in childhood and lead to decreased intelligence. Fixed mindset; intelligence is biologically set and unchanging. Growth mindset; intelligence is changeable if you learn more. People with this mindset achieve more in their careers.
