Document Summary

The articles of confederation was established in june17, 1776 because of the demand of a new loose government. The reason for the demand was because they want to new government to have the right to pass or veto the bill without any enforcement. Under the articles of confederation, they don"t have the power to regulate the control of congress. Congress can request the money or revenue from the states, but cannot enforce them. Also, the government wouldn"t be able to enforce tax on the people, but they have to pay off their debt. The result of this establishment was that it did create a strong confederation, granting them a strong vantage position to conduct some foreign policy, make wars, make postal system. It creates more control, but it could also put them in a weak spot. For the people, in order to amend the article, they must anonymously vote.
