Mobility: animals move freely, plants grow freely, water moves freely. Foragers need to have flexible boundaries and be able to travel those bounds. Egalitarianism (social equality): eliminate status inequality, groups have general home range, resources in it are available/belong to everyone. Social distinctions based on age; not limited to foragers. Marks expectations, limit responsibility, constrain productivity, guide behavior. People work regardless of their age; elderly tend to crops, ritual specialists, uphold cultural traditions-- they remain active, productive and engaged despite age.
