Format: the format this time will be multiple choice (perhaps including some true/false) and short answer. Content: subject matter for the exam includes disturbing/frightening media, political communication, agenda setting, framing, and cultivation. Everything we read and discussed is fair game for the exam, but i recommend you especially study for the areas identified below. As you study, you should be using the chapters, lecture slides, and class notes. Be sure to study the key concepts and key terms within these areas as you prepare for the exam. For behavior, i am particularly interested in voting behavior. On the other hand, we read about and discussed that media effects on individuals are dependent upon individual characteristics, which you should be also be able to discuss. Be able to define these while also identifying/discussing how they are related and how they are distinct from one another.
