Cyst: 5-10 mcm, oval shape, 4 nuclei with a large karysome appearing to be in a vacuole. Troph: 6-12 mcm, 1 nucleus, blunt pseudopods form slowly: butschlii. Cyst: 5-20 mcm, irregular shape, single nucleus with large karysome, chromatin ring not usually visible, glycogen vacuole. Troph: 8-20 mcm, single nucleus with large karyosome, many vacuoles, no glycogen vacuole. Cyst: 10-20 mcm; 4 nuclei, central karyosome in nucelus, finely granular cytoplasm, smooth, rounded chromatoidal bars. Troph: 12-60 mcm, single nucleus, may contain ingested.
