Industrial revolution is a reality; you can"t ignore what is happening and must depict it in graphic detail. Depicts accurate emotions of characters within the lower class as well. The individual is at the mercy of natural forces beyond his control. Daisy is an individual crushed by roman fever. Hugh wolfe sees and embraces beauty but is crushed when accused of stealing the money and sent to jail (kills himself)
