Subsurface scattering- mimic that light interacts with skin, sorftware addresses that light will penetrate skin, light on skin causes the rays to bounce around and come back out at diff angles, some reflected, refracted, penetrated. Technicolor camera- has 3 film strips, captures the rgb because when combined it creates a complete color spectrum, makes up the other colors to make true colors. Miniature photography: get real world lighting, cgi harder to light, put in all the details, Linwood dunc- used optical camera (king kong, citizen kane) orson wells, planning in advance. Mixed scale shot: scale of foreground is at different scale of background, can create illusions by changing relationship of foreground to background, ; limitation have to have everything in sharp focus, great only for daytime bright outdoors.
