Literature review energy crisis discussion of commentary. There are many who agree with this statement while there are others who do not. There are many sides to these problems including what kind of alternatives or if they are even worth it. The main argument when it comes to the energy crisis is whether or not we need these alternative energy sources. Thomas sowell, an economist and columnist, seems to think we don"t. In his article renewable alternatives to fossil fuels are unnecessary sowell states, Energy shortages cannot be prevented by transitioning to renewable alternatives. Generating alternative energies, including wind and solar power, is too expensive. what he is trying to say is that the energy shortages we face can"t be solved by alternative energy sources (sowell). Zycher claims similar ideas in his article alternative energy. What zycher means by this is that the kinds of energy produced by alternative energy sources are not all equal.
