Document Summary

Photosystems occur inside the thylakoid membrane, nadph is produced after photosystem 1. Calvin cycle uses co2 and glucose comes out of it, g3p is a product as well (glucose) Rubisco and rubp influence c4 and cam . When water evaporates at high rates, stomata closes so that water is conserved, results in buildup of oxygen inside the leaf and co2 can t get in, called photorespiration. Malate gets shuttled into bundle sheath cells and drops co2 and forms pyruvate, calvin cycle is continued as normal, this way o2 is not encountered. Cam plants- open stomata at night, run calvin cycle during the day, allow o2 to go out at night and co2 to come in. Cam does calvin cycle at different time c4 does it in different location. Cytosol is just fluid, cytoplasm is organelles and fluid. Glycolysis turns sugar into 2 three carbon pyruvate, 4 atp and 2 nadh by breaking bonds.
