In theater you can guarantee what the outcome will be, sports you cannot. Athletics is human action, theater is only a imitation of human action. Goal for theater is to feel like the outcome is unknown: willing suspension of disbelief actively suspend the fact that you know it"s not real. Participation in the illusion that what is happening is real and is happening for the first time. Actors invest in the experience as if it were real. Entertainment something that helps us step out of our existence, craving an experience we don"t think we are going to get/stepping into someone else"s shoes (vicarious experience), seeking to know other times or other experiences (historical event) Curiosity to seek to know and understand. Ambiguous questions held in theater, modern theater is more focused on ending in those questions. By definition a collaboration: working with others to create something.
