Right anterior portion - deoxygenated blood flows to lungs. Left posterior portion - oxygenated blood pumps to body. Pericardial sac a double walled sac filled with fluid avoids friction. Has an outer fibrous and inner serous layer. Heart skeleton fibroelastic connective tissue provides insulation and support.
