The importance of artistic value: can be both a historic and a contemporary value. The relationship of contemporary values to the cult of monuments. Independent of a work"s rank within the development of history. Commonly analyzed upon first glace, the wear of the entity. The viewer receives aesthetic satisfaction from the continuous and unceasing cycle of change in nature. Revealed in imperfections, lack of completeness, dissolving shape or colour. Natural decay: the building as an organism: avoid intervention.
