Globalization - a historical process involving a fundamental shift or transformation in the spatial scale of human social organization that links distant communities and expands the reach of power relations across regions and continents. Ngo - an organization with policy goals but non governmental in makeup. a group of people engaging with each other regularly in a formal matter and engaging in collective action. Transnational actor - any nongovernmental actor (such as a multinational corporation or a global religious humanitarian organization) that has dealings with any actor from another country or with an international organization. Nonstate actor - any participant in global politics that is neither acting in the name of government nor created and served by the government. ex. ngos, terrorists networks, multinational corporations, and global crime syndicates. Nation-state - a political community in which the state claims legitimacy on the grounds that it represents all citizens, including those who identify as a separate community or nation.
