Document Summary

Canada"s economy depends on buying and selling with other countries, which depends on their economic status. The peace of our nation if affected by the peace of other nations. War and natural disasters can increase immigration, and decrease and change the exchange of goods. When the base of our economy shifted from farms to factories, a new social class rose from the new industries. Many agriculturalists were forced to leave their rural communities to seek work in the new forming, dirty cities. Now having to live in rented places and buy food instead of growing their own, the majority of the population became consumers instead of producers. This created issues like poverty, pollution, crime, crowdingetc. These changes were so sudden and drastic with so many additional consequences that it lead people to question what had changed in society to cause this. During the industrial revolution, the world not only flipped completely, but living conditions changed only for the worst.
