Racism loose and unre ective way to describe hostile or negative feelings one ethnic group or people hold towards a different ethnic group and their actions which result in these feelings. Sometimes one persons hatred towards a group goes far beyond the group-centred prejudice and is acted upon with single-mindedness and brutality. This almost always guarantees a human failing. ie hitler. The climax of the history of racism came in the 20th century. Laws prohibited the african americans from voting and labelled them as lower-caste status, even though the constitutional amendments made them equal citizens. The torture towards the african americans grew more and more brutal, they were tortured to death rather than simply killed. The fear of sexual contamination through and intermarriage was used as a key feature of the racist regime which was maintained by state law in the south.
