Depends on frequency, mode, intensity, duration and adherence. Subjective/self report: lots of information, little time and money, ex, daily activity logs and recall. Longer the time period, greater chance of error: typical week is less accurate than a specific date or time period, intentional and involuntary manipulation. Observation: eliminate memory recall and self report biases, direct or indirect, change behaviour because being observed, time cost, subjective judgements about intensity of activity level. Even when adults do exercise, they do not do so at levels sufficient for health improvements. 50-70% of industrialized countries don"t achieve the recommended amount of pa. Moderate levels of activity stays stable over the lifespan.
