Dsm criteria includes somaic symptom disorder, illness anxiety disorder, psychological factors afecing medical condiion, conversion disorder and faciious disorder. Somaic symptom disorder would be the experience of pain in which psychological factors play a major role in maintaining the pain whether there is a clear physical reasons or not. Physical symptoms are either not experienced at present ime or very mild but anxiety is focused on possibility of having/developing disease. Idea of being sick rather than physical symptom itself. Less concerned with any speciic physical symptoms, more worried about idea she was ill or developing an illness. Preoccupied with bodily symptoms, misinterpreing them as illness/disease. Disorders of cogniion or percepion with strong emoional contribuions. Focus atenion on physical sensaions, realize them more, become more intense, more anxiety. Hyper-responsivity combines with tendency to view negaive life events as unpredictable and uncontrollable. Possible to have learned it from family members to focus anxiety on physical condiions and illness.
