If perception is distorted = description may not be accurate depiction of you, but it is an accurate statement of what you think of yourself. Self-concept = result of self-esteem and self-efficacy. Low self-esteem = self-concept can become skewed towards a negative description. Those with good self-esteem/efficacy can recognize limitations without feeling good/bad about them. Regard or respect that a person has for oneself. Can be mixed depending on what you are referring too, high self-esteem in certain areas while low self-esteem about physical appearance. Person"s belief in their ability to accomplish a goal or tsk. Level of competence an individual feels that they have. Can also vary depending on situation = capable of competing in a sport, but not competent speaking in front of a group.
