Produced more than 30 writings o on social differentiation (1890) o the philosophy of money (1900) o the metropolis and mental life (1902-3) o sociology (1908) o fundamental questions of sociology. Much of his work is focused on tragedy of culture, public policies, formal sociology. All of his works deal with the struggle of individual subjectivity the individual personality to integrate, master, and transcend the objective and objectifying culture of modern society.
